Privacy
Simply Icelandic sends a daily Icelandic word by email. This is what we store and why.
What we store
- Your email address.
- When you signed up, confirmed and (if you do) unsubscribed. This is our record of your consent.
- Which emails we have sent you, and when.
Nothing else: no name, no tracking pixels, no cookies, no third-party analytics.
Visitor counts
To know how many people visit this website, we count page visits ourselves. For each visit we store the page, the country (from Cloudflare), the website you came from if any, and an anonymous code made from your IP address and browser with a random key that is thrown away every day. This counts each visitor once a day, and the code can't be turned back into your IP address or linked across days. Your IP address is never stored.
Why
Only to send you the emails you asked for. We never sell or share your address, and never use it for anything else.
Who helps us
- Resend delivers the emails.
- Cloudflare serves this website and forwards replies to us.
How long
- While you're subscribed.
- Signups that are never confirmed are deleted after 7 days.
- After you unsubscribe, your address is deleted within 30 days (backups roll over within a further 30 days).
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. To see, correct or delete your data, email ord@simplyicelandic.com.
